You may have noticed things have been a little quieter around here as of late. Not completely silent, but definitely quieter. So what's the deal? We're changing. Visualize if you will table saws, sparks, flickering lights, 1 s and 0s whizzing by your head, saw dust filing the air and writers, artists, and developers working furiously away all in capes and brightly colored spandex. Well that is pretty much what's going on, only just a few of the people behind the scenes here wear spandex.
It's keeping all of us pretty busy. So maybe you're saying to yourself, I wonder if there is anything I can do to help? Well how kind of you! We thought you'd never ask. There is actually plenty you can do. While currently we are unable to offer any monetary compensation for contributions, we hope as the size of our audience continues to grow, that will change soon. The Captain always looks out for his friends.
So here's a few things you can do…
1.) Tell your friends. Yes, we know it's the same tired request every growing website makes, but it is really important. While we have been growing quickly since our launch a short time ago, there is so much more we want to do, but it’s hard to gather the necessary resources without an active audience that continues to grow even more rapidly.
2.) Take advantage of us. When we look at our traffic and then look at how frequently many of the great features we've built into the site are used, it leaves us scratching our heads. So enter our contests, try out our Nintendo DS friends code system, rate our articles, comment on what you read and start a flame war in our forums.
3.) Give us feedback. There is a section of the forums dedicated to site feedback which we all watch very closely. Sure, we originally built this site to help the Captain in his fight for Truth, Justice, and Video Games, but we work hard on it everyday for our readers. If there is something you don't like about it or aren't using (see #2), most likely it won't be here when you comeback after the dust settles.
4.) Contribute. Are you an artist looking for some more exposure? How about an aspiring video game journalist? Do you have editing or video camera related super powers? Are you a comic book writer looking for a story to help tell? Do you dream in CSS or html and long to be part of building something great? Are you an investor with the powers of clairvoyance and precognition? Are you a lone wonder-twin looking for someone with powers to activate? Well we understand the power of synergy and we are looking for people who make the air around them crackle and hum. So if you are interested, you can take advantage of the site's existing ability to display your articles and artwork, go through our handy contact page or email Captain Almighty directly by way of capt.almighty [squiggly "a" thing] gamealmighty.com.
For those of you to busy to help out, we promise not to hold a grudge, especially if you keep checking the site often. We still intend on getting our special brand of articles up as regularly as possible, plus we can guarantee that one of your future visits will feature a big surprise. So keep checking back.
Thanks for your loyalty and patience. We are really looking forward to bringing you something exciting and new very soon.
