WILTON, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Entertainment Consumers Association (ECA), the non-profit organization which represents game enthusiasts, today announced a number of all new strategic partnerships with a variety of corporations, non-profits and coalitions that want to lend their support to the ECA and its members. The agreements with the coalition partners are intended to strengthen the voice of gamers and the industry as a whole, while the new partnerships will directly affect ECA members by providing them with a variety of new discounts and benefits.
“The depth and breadth of new coalition partners and sponsors is truly impressive,” said Hal Halpin, the association’s president. “In just over a year we have solidified an amazing list of well-established corporations, non-profits and entities that are not just seeing the potential of the ECA, but doing everything in their power to support us during our formative stages. That says quite a lot about them actually, but it also speaks volumes about game consumers and the faith that these organizations have in us collectively.”
Since the ECA was formed, the organization has made great strides in building productive relationships with other, more established, non-profit organizations who have embraced its mission. Rallying around such issues as e-waste, fair use, net neutrality, parental empowerment and the regulation of video games, the ECA has built a solid foundation for advocacy and will work together with influential non-profits, and others, to develop programs and participate in activities that will benefit all parties involved.
