Activision Inc, the distributors of Guitar Hero III, has recently partnered with the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation. This foundation assists seriously ill children and their families. In order to spread the support, Activision has announced their Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock contest.

Register online at www.guitarhero.com and play to compete for the highest score on Monster’s “Matchbook Romance.” Activision promises to donate $55,000 to the Foundation by donating up to $1.00 for each person who registers to compete. They will donate $100.00 for every 1,000 points scored by the challenge’s highest score. These funds will be given directly to the Starlight programs which are designed to help seriously ill children and their families through entertaining, educational, family activities.

The highest scoring individual in the Legend of Rock challenge will receive an all expense paid trip for two to sunny Southern California and an exclusive tour of Neversoft Entertainment, the developers of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.

Registration for the contest ends May 2, 2008 at 7:59 PM Eastern time. Competitions will follow immediately after registration, and will end May 5, 2008 7:59 PM Eastern.
