The folks here at Game Almighty are used to seeing Captain Almighty get showered with accolades due to his crimefighting adventure. You know the drill … medals of honor, keys to cities, etc. This time, though, all of us at Game Almighty got to share in the limelight. Our little base of operations was awarded with not just one, but three "Best in Class" honors from the Interactive Media Awards.
The Interactive Media Awards (IMAs) were created by the Interactive Media Council to recognize the highest standards of excellence in website design and development, and to honor individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievements. The competition is designed to elevate the standards of excellence on the Internet and offer winners a boost in marketing and exposure.
Game Almighty took home three IMAs in this year's competition. The company won the "Best in Class" award in the categories of Entertainment, Ratings/Reviews, and Web Design/Development. The IMA's "Best in Class" is the highest honor bestowed by the Interactive Media Awards. It represents the very best in planning, execution, and overall professionalism.
In order to win each award, Game Almighty had to successfully pass through the Interactive Media Council's comprehensive judging process, achieving very high marks in each of the judging criteria - an achievement only a fraction of sites in the IMA competition earn each year. The competition for this year's IMAs was tough. In the Entertainment category, for example, Game Almighty managed to best some stiff competition including the official website of Resistance: Fall of Man.
Of course, as great as it is to get an award like this, the best part is the knowledge that we're doing something right. The work we do here is meant to inform and to entertain all of you - our audience. You are as much as part of the Game Almighty experience as those of us in the offices and secret bases of our operation. As a part of what makes Game Almighty tick, these awards are as much yours as they are ours. So, from the Captain, the Alliance, and the rest of the staff at Game Almighty, we want to say thanks … and congratulations to all of you as well.
