The word came down as a big surprise to gamers late Monday night. Capcom slipped out a press release informing the media that the latest addition to it popular Devil May Cry franchise was breaking the longstanding tradition of being a PlayStation exclusive. Instead, Devil May Cry 4 will be bringing its adventure cross-platform to the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Each version of the game will be maximized to take advantage of the different systems’ strengths. The game will also be released simultaneously for the PS3 and Xbox 360 systems.
"Capcom is committed to making its titles available to as wide an audience as possible, and has been building its technology base to meet that goal," said Mark Beaumont, executive vice president, officer and head of Capcom consumer software publishing in the Americas and Europe. "This announcement means that PS3, Xbox 360, and PC owners worldwide will be able to experience the latest installment of one of Capcom’s pillar franchises."
There's still very little coming out of Capcom about the main plot behind Devil May Cry 4, though one major change announced will be in the series' lead. This time around, players will take on the role of a new leading man named Nero. Players will utilize Nero's special "Devil Bringer" arm to unleash incredible attacks and non-stop combos using a unique new gameplay mechanic. There's no word yet on when gamers can be expecting to see Devil May Cry 4 on store shelves, but at least for now they'll have time to decide how they'll want to experience the game.

Metal Gear Solid coming to the 360 can't be far off. Not sure why any of this really matters to gamers in the grand scheme of things. Fact is, no matter which system you have, you're going to be able to play some great games.

I am really feeling it for Sony right now, but just how many times is this going to happen before they change their strategy? Somethings not working and to sit and grin like nothing is wrong is maniacal. And Sony fanboys, you must be mere inches from some sort of psychotic break!
