At Gamecock’s EIEIO event we got a chance to sit down with the guys from Red Fly Studio, who are working on a pair of games coming to the DS and Wii titled Mushroom Men. The concept is certainly far out, and is based around a world where mushrooms have come to life and you play as a three inch tall Bolete who is fighting against other mushroom factions. Unfortunately Red Fly Studio wasn’t quite ready to show us gameplay, and we only got to take a look at development artwork, but what we saw was enough to get us hooked for more. The world itself is filled with plenty of little details to remind you of how small you are, and the plans for the customizable weapon system looks awesome. You’ll be able to combine items like paperclips, RC car motors, and other small items to create weapons of miniature destruction. We can’t wait.
